Dear Christians,
A love letter to God’s chosen.
I’m writing this to inform you That you have been witnessed. Seen in full view. No I don’t need you To come correct me, too. People’s walk with God? Not your purview Unless they cause harm Or ask! They don’t need you. If you want new tithes, I know you something you can try Instead of looking them in the eye Claiming all they do is lie, How about you pick up your own book? — Who “casts the first stone?” Intended to be Jesus, You think the job your own. Calling us blasphemous— While stealing God’s throne. You look down upon us As if we should kneel. I wish you could ever feel God. In your heart. In your mind. In your body. In your SOUL. God PROTECTS the harmed, The wounded, the scarred, The ones you shove aside Killing to display “heart.” You ridicule in public No event too small, Instead of making programs To pick up who falls. People starve around you, Get abducted, and die All so you can feel Protected, Under his eye. But God showed you heaven! It’s the thing you reject. It requires equality And no subjects. “No needy among you.” “You live together as one.” And yet you reject them— Tell em they’re not part of “one.” If Jesus came today, I bet you would run. You couldn’t own up To the harm that you’ve done. So no, I won’t go Stand in heretical “God’s home.” Proclaiming straight white male glory While MY people groan. — If you fancy yourselves “Chosen,” I think that’s cute And certainly, I’ll be praying for you. — True followers of God Would NEVER be mistaken For the likes —of you!

ouch
As someone with enough religious trauma to fill a whole new testament, I’ll never call myself Christian again...but spirituality still hums under my skin like something that survived the fire. I love how you honor the sacred here without sugarcoating the damage... you speak truth with teeth and call out the hypocrisy. That's a beautiful kind of holy. 🖤
