Keep talking. Keep talking.
I always listen to people who are smarter than me…even if I don’t want to.
What is there to say? I could go on for forever— And a day. The Bible doesn’t do it. It never needed end. There’s just no point to begging —for mend. Why keep writings poems When they’ve all been said? If people really wanted to, They’d already understand. There’s no sense explaining What was understood from —your very first friend. I took her by the hand And walked her right inside. Her tears said more Than words could describe. She didn’t have to explain. And neither do I. The truth is always within Reaching for the light. Kindergarten’s no different Than this conversation— Between you and I. Keep talking. Keep talking. I hear you all the time. How dare I have a keyboard And not build Love a shrine? But honestly? I’ve built my altars high. And to be quite honest with you? They’re known far and wide. I’ve made many. I bleed all the time. Once a month by prescription, And with every breath by design. Theirs AND mine. They can cut us up— That much is true. But altars are just rocks Magic comes from hue— Of smoke The color it burns Sulfur shows blue And love? She runs out from me to you. I witness her in your smile, The color choices that catch your eye. Black hearts and red, Bound to the same ties. The same lies. The ones they tried to fry— Emotions right out Of women. And gays. And whores. And mothers. And daughters. And children. And Victims. We stand tall— Refuse the fall. Take lashes and beatings Though “righteousness” seemingly Doled them all— Out Loud And Proud Of the weapon In hand. Surviving on Politeness and Silence Thriving when love ends. When will we all Finally admit We Understand? — How long must I keep talking To appease your mind? I wanna fight For those trapped in time, In coffins made of “nice” —words. — I think absurdity can win this for us. Commit acts all the time— We can make it not worth it. Burn them with things as big/small as rhyme. So keep talking, Keep talking! Filibuster their crimes! Thwart and stall their efforts, And wait for their Inevitable Fall. You can’t kidnap people Willing to not exist at all.

I love how you turn repetition into resistance. It reads like a chant for survival
I love your mind 🫶🏾
